Anthony M. Vassallo, Of Counsel

Anthony M. Vassallo is an attorney who has devoted his entire legal career to representing businesses and individuals as debtors, creditors or trustees in both corporate and personal bankruptcy proceedings, including some of the largest bankruptcy proceedings filed in the United States including Adelphia Communications Corporation (debtors), Enron Corporation (debtors), Delphi Corporation (debtors), XO Communications, Inc. (debtor), Refco, LLC (trustee), Reader’s Digest Ass’n (t.v. personality), Episcopal Health Services (debtors), and
National Steel Corp. (lender).

After graduating from law school, Tony was a judicial law clerk for 2 years for the Hon. Tina L. Brozman, former Chief Judge of United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

After completing his clerkship, he worked over the next 10 years in nationally renowned bankruptcy departments at three law firms: Willkie Farr & Gallagher, LLP; Togut Segal & Segal, LLP; and Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe, LLP. Later, Tony worked for 2 years as in-house counsel for a major financial institution managing a nationwide portfolio of 150 active consumer bankruptcies involving mortgage loan issues.

Since 2013, Tony has maintained a private practice in which he represents clients in Chapter 7, Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 proceedings and financial restructuring matters.

Tony graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Latin and history and earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York as well as the District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
